Golf Tournament Fundraiser

Every August, Oregon Aglink hosts the Friends of Oregon Agriculture Golf Tournament which benefits the Cultivating Common Ground initiative, ultimately supporting all of our programs connecting Oregonians through agriculture.

In a modified scramble format, teams of four combine their skills to play 18 holes at Chehalem Glenn Golf Course, buying mulligans, gimme string and a PGA Pro-Shot to outscore the other teams and win the tournament.

Golf Ball Drop

For our Golf Ball Drop fundraiser, pre-numbered golf balls are sold to the public. Each of these balls will be loaded into a helicopter and dropped onto the driving range of the Chehalem Glenn Golf Course at the conclusion of our golf tournament on August 13, 2021.

The ball that lands in the hole first, or is closest to the hole, wins a $1,000 Visa gift card!  You do not need to be present to win.

Game Hole Rules

Bring Your Money! Get ahead of other teams while supporting Oregon Aglink’s programs and buy Mulligans, Gimme String, a PGA Pro-Shot and an Eagle! Price breakdown is as follows:

  • Mulligans $5.00 per ball (cannot be used on the green or on prize shots)
  • Gimme String $20.00 per 18 inches (can only be used on the green)
  • PGA Pro-Shot $20.00 (one per team) on Hole #4 (If you purchase it, please advance directly to the marker in the fairway and DO NOT hit from the tee box.)
  • Sponsor-A-Student in Adopt a Farmer:
  • One Student $50.00 – moves you up the fairway on Hole #12 to take your first shot
  • Four Students $200.00 – earns your team an EAGLE on Hole #12

Additional Details

Registration & Tee Time: Opens at 7:00 am, please be sure to check your team in upon arrival. Tee time is 8:00 am

Food: Included with your tournament registration is breakfast before tee time and lunch during the post-tournament awards. From 7:00 am to 8:00 am, you can help yourself to coffee, milk, pastries, fruit, and yogurt.

Dress Code: Collared shirt required…jeans acceptable.

Driving Range & Putting Green: These areas will be open and available for practice at 6:30 am to all participants.

Format: Modified Scramble – Each player will hit a drive from the tee box and then everyone will hit their second shot within a club length of the shot that the team selects to use. Continue this until play on the hole is complete. Each team MUST use at least 2 drives from each player. If you are playing on a team of 3 then each player will take turns hitting twice so that you have four shots to select from…continue this rotation throughout the course of play. Each team will play 18 holes. Men will play from the WHITE tees and Women will play from the RED tees.

Longest Drive Holes: Hole #2 for Women and Hole #3 for Men

KP Holes: Hole #16 for Women and Hole #7 for Men
