Posted on November 17, 2023

One of many new members that joined in the last year, Sunpath Services is nevertheless a first for Oregon Aglink: a company specializing in solar installations. Keep reading for our quick interview with their marketing manager, Heather Zimmer. SunPath Logo: "Sunpath" is written in bold capital letters, with Sun using a dark yellow font. Path is written in dark blue, which matches the outline of three overlapping mountain peaks and a partial sun.

1.  What is Sunpath Services? When did the idea first start coming together?

Sunpath Services is a local solar installation company specializing in residential, farm and commercial projects across the state. We are a trade ally of the Energy Trust of Oregon and we are licensed, bonded and insured for all of our work. The two owners started thinking about Sunpath when they were working at another solar company together four years ago – they realized they could offer better service, quality and pricing if they struck out on their own. A primary focus is communication with our customers and amongst our team members to provide a smooth and stress-free solar experience.

2. Where are you located? Where have you worked and where would you like to work?

Our company has an office and warehouse in Beaverton, located off of Highway 217 at the Allen Boulevard exit. This location allows us to efficiently reach our service area which stretches from Portland to Corvallis, and from Hood River to many areas of the Oregon Coast.

3. Who is on the Sunpath Services team?

Chet Zimmer and Jake Hoskins are co-owners of Sunpath Services. Combined the two have worked in solar for over twenty years in Oregon with experience on thousands of solar projects, big and small, across the state. Our installation team is also made up of industry veterans who average over eight years of experience working in the solar industry. On the sales and support side, we have four people who consult, design, schedule and perform all of the back office work needed to shepherd projects through the various approval processes before installation.

 4. Why do you do what you do?

The team at Sunpath Services is passionate about renewable energy and we recognize the need for a transparent solar evaluation process for our customers. Farms and rural small businesses are our favorite customers, and it is a relatively under-served sector because most solar installation companies focus on residential installations in the Portland metro area. There are so many financial resources available for rural businesses and ag producers and we want to get the word out so every owner can evaluate solar and determine if it’s a good fit for their energy needs.

5. How can people get in touch with you to ask questions or get started?  How are you different from other solar companies?

We are happy to provide free project quotes and onsite solar assessments for anyone looking into solar. Sunpath focuses on educating our customers and making sure they know and understand what they would be purchasing without the sales pressure often seen from other solar companies. We can be reached through the contact form on our website (https://www.sunpathservices.com/free-estimate); you can call us directly at 503-313-7253, or you can email chet @ sunpathservices to start the solar evaluation process.
