Crop and breed identification signs help travelers identify what is growing or being raised in fields along roadways all over the state. They are a great tool to help educate the public about Oregon agriculture and its importance to their daily lives.
Throughout the years, the signs have evolved to be easier to read as well as maintain. Oregon Aglink has placed more than 200 signs along the most traveled thoroughfares in Oregon, in partnership with Oregon Women for Agriculture. This program has been helping connect the public with agriculture for more than 3 decades.
If you are interested in putting signs on your land to help educate the public, order one using the form below or contact Allison Cloo, Programs Coordinator at 971-600-0428
The most common type of sign is the Crop/Breed sign. These are perfect to display along major highways or freeways. Here’s an example:
Dimensions: 18″ x 60″
Cost: $65.00* Oregon Aglink members / $75.00* non- members plus $15 shipping and handling per sign
*If we do not already have artwork set up for a crop, there may be an additional fee.
The second type of sign is a Variety sign. These are smaller and suitable for backroads or when displaying multiple signs on one piece of land. An example is shown with ‘Pinot Noir’ below.
Dimensions: 12″ x 24″
Cost: $30 Oregon Aglink members / $40 non-members plus $10 shipping and handling per sign
Installation
Signs do not come with mounting hardware or fence posts. However, there are six grommets, one on each corner and two in the middle (top and bottom) to affix to a fence with string or zip ties. Signs can be shipped for $10 each or picked up at the Oregon Aglink office.
Please select the size of sign you want and write the name of the crop/breed/variety exactly as you want it to appear.
Becoming a member of Oregon Aglink adds your voice to the story of Oregon agriculture as your membership dues support all of our programs and in return, you have access to all of our exclusive members-only benefits.
